37. (Dad:) Basically, it’s the life of
faith that helps us to reach that place
where Jesus is enough. It’s the trials and
battles; the things we lose and sacrifice;
the things we forsake—and learn that we
don’t need; the times when we see Him
supply for us, satisfy us, and make us
happy despite our not having the things we
may think we need. It’s the forsakings, the
hardships, the fulfillment, the abounding
and abasing, all our experiences lumped
together that take us step by step—and
in reality almost forces us—to the place
where we truly feel and know that Jesus
is enough; He’s everything to us, and
compared to Him, nothing else matters.
38. The way it works is that, on
the one hand, breakings, battles and
forsakings drive us to Him in despera-
tion and in need. On the other hand,
they remove the props and the crutches
that keep us from being more spiritual
and leaning more on Him, from really
discovering that He can be the beginning
and the end of our satisfaction.
All the choices you make for Me bring
more and more of this passion into your life.
All the times you choose to stand on My promises
and put Me to the test bring you closer and closer
to this place of all-compelling love for Me. If you
want to reach this place where all you’ll find is Me
and the intense satisfaction that My completeness
brings, then choose Me over anything else each
time you are presented with a choice. Then you
too will be able to say with Livingstone, “I have
never made a sacrifice, for Jesus has always been
enough.”
Happy Merry Christmas everyone, wishing u all the bestest Christmas of your lives. I will post pictures of last night soon, I mean there aren't many as we didn't do much, but we still had fun (you know it's all in the mind).
Yesterday our neighbor came over and gave us a Christmas present.
You see we went over to his house twice and he has this really adorable puppy and we play with it the whole time we're there, and he bought us that puppy's brother, so now we have a little doggy living in our room. We all love it..... here are some pictures. I almost forgot, thanks Jesus for supplying it!
It's realy hard to take good picutres of him because he's always jumping around and playing...but you must agree it's soooooooooo cute
Since we have the flu going around and almost everyone in the home has colds; an adult here looked up some health remedies. Now normally you would expect something with honey, garlic, vinegar, tea or veggies involved, but unfortunately it was not to be. So this morning I was with the kidz and we are eating snack when A. Joy comes into the kitchen and says she found a new health remedy that should help us get rid of our colds in 1-3 days. We were all happy since obviously we want to be healed as fast as possible. So she started explaining, "First you get a cup of water and put half a teaspoon of baking soda into it, and then you drink it, you need to do that once every 1and a half hours, and have 6 cups the first day, 4 the second and the third only 2." Ok sounded good enough, I got a cup for all the kidz and myself and had no idea what I expected it to taste like. My brothers all started saying it was gross and complaining, and when I tasted it I totally agreed...to make a long story short we had to drink that disgusting (and I don't normally call food disgusting) stuff all through out the day, well we started doing it with less water and still half a teaspoon of baking soda. I only drank 4 and I will not drink more today, we'll see about tomorrow. As far as drinking 6, I'll stick with the other health remedies...even my mom's cough syrup doesn't look so bad anymore. Now here's a tip, when your sick you should drink it, it's really good for you and you'll know how I feel, or maybe not (my dad and sister likes it)
Gabriel Denith aka Gabey: He's the youngest and sooo cute...o it's his birthday today, he's turning 5
David Julian: he's my evil agent of evilness lampy, and King Julian who can't wait to celebrate Julianuary (you should watch the latest 30 minute Madagascar Christmas one). We always play 'evil' games, o ya, I'm his Awful Alvin Catchy.... aww so cute :) o and he's 7
Victor Daniel: he's crazy and gets my other brothers doing crazy things to, dressing up like natives, chasing snakes and the like...see he's holding a snake in the picture before (no worries it was dead) he's 9
Laura Agnes: well everyone knows her as Lali, she's really funny, and my constant companion of sorts, well she's kind of like the sister I'm with most (except Lucy) she's 10
Anita Flora: well actually we call her Pepsi (don't ask where it came from, cuz I don't remember) she's the craziest in our family (kinda) well on that pic she's dressed in my clothes, except the hat (now i gave her the shirt and skirt) Pepsi I will spank u:D o ya and she's 12
Lucia Esther: she's 14 and um, I donno...GBY Lucy, o ya I luv singing the song called Lucy to her, and Lucy in the sky with diamonds....
and me (drum role) my full name is Natalia Klara Alemany Garcia Bota... long no? I'm 15 incase u didn't know...and my birthday is March 6 (don't forget)
I don't have any pictures of my parents that are only them, so you can look above
A little while ago we decided to decorate our house as it is getting close to Christmas (well I guess we started early---in Hungary we didn't put the tree up till the 24th). But that's beside the point... so we were decorating, and we got really in a Christmas spirit, so I decided to put some Christmas music on. The whole house felt like Christmas even though it was really hot and there is no snow (my first year without a snowy Christmas --sniff sniff). Here are some pictures we took, super exciting stuff!
we even decorated our kitchen
more decorating
our Christmas tree, it's TINY! but cute...
3 Santas in front of the tree
since our tree was so small and I wanted to make a bigger and cuter tree...but it wasn't so much cuter, but at least the santas posed in front of me:D
I was so excited about my present from santa
I guess I was not the only one excited about my presents
so wishing u all a Merry Christmas...if u wanna know more about our super exciting decorating from a different persons perspective look here: Christmas Decorating for Our House it has some of the same pictures, but we only had so many. And also we are not the Alemany sisters, for 2 reasons, 1: we are not Nuns, 2: we are not Filipino's.
My Christmas picture, super exciting---Steph look at my smile it's huge(smiles)
