Baku-Tbilisi

As a trip to China was not enough traveling for one summer, from August 13 to 18 Jacopo and I went to Azerbaijan and Georgia.
We spend 3 days in Baku, and then took a 13+ hour night train to Tbilisi, where we spent another 2 days seeing the city and the smaller cities of Mtskheta and Jvari.
Here come the pictures:

Baku is an EXTREMELY windy city!

The fire towers are even prettier at night

on the train between the 2 countries, we had a nice little room

Tbilisi, Mtskhela, and Jvari:

It was an amazing holiday and, along with graduating from uni, the fact that I got to see 3 new countries this summer really lifted my spirits after a difficult year.
I have now officially been to 21 countries, so I'm still far from seeing all 196 countries but this is a start.
I'll try to post more about my life, as I have lots to post about, just gotta free my schedule a bit.

BA Degree

I'm quite late with this post. As of July 20 I have my university diploma and am officially an adult with a BA degree. It's such a relief to be finished, as I can honestly say getting this degree is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. It's amazing to finally have free time and to know that my efforts were worth it. I can hardly wait to start working from September and, for the first time in 5 years, not have to put aside most of my salary for my studies. I'm really proud of myself and glad I got here!

Here's a few pictures of my graduation:
The moment I first held my diploma 😃

I can't stress how glad I am to be finished!
Now off to better things in life!

China '18

This year Lucy, Joel, and I decided to pick up the pace and travel cross continent, to China.
It was a beautiful trip where we saw many amazing sights, experienced a new culture, and enjoyed our vacation to the maximum. We visited stayed 10 days, in that time we saw Beijing and Shanghai. Here are the pictures.
Beijing:
This is the outside of the hostel we stayed in

Lama Temple:

The Great Wall of China:
We went up by chairlift, down by bobsled, and got to see one of the places I wouldn't have been able to die in peace without seeing

The Summer Palace:
This was one of my favorite places in China, it was beautiful and I took way too many pictures of which I'll post a few

Tienanmen Square:

The Forbidden City:

Shanghai:

Longhua Temple:

Nanjing Road

Just because what other mall in the world has a huge yolo sign in the middle of it?
I loved how you could see the skyscrapers from all around the city

By far my favorite place in Shanghai

Shanghai Zoo:
I just had to see the pandas

I totally recommend China, it is a trip worth making
