Estate Planning

Dan was a single guy living at home with his father, and working in
the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune
when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with whom to share
his fortune. One evening at an investment meeting, he spotted the most
beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath
away. 'I may look like just an ordinary man,' he said to her, 'but in a
short time my father will die, and I'll inherit 20 million dollars.'
Impressed, the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she
married his father.

Women are so much better at estate planning than men are!

Angels :)

"FRIENDS ARE GOD'S WAY OF TAKING CARE OF US."

This was written by a Hospice of Metro Denver physician.

I just had one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and wanted to share it with my family and dearest friends:

I was driving home from a meeting this evening about 5, stuck in
traffic on Colorado Blvd., and the car started to choke and splutter and die - I barely managed to coast, cursing, into a gas station, glad only that I would not be blocking traffic and would have a somewhat warm spot to wait for the tow truck. It wouldn't even turn over. Before I could make the call, I saw a woman walking out of the "quickie mart" building, and it looked like she slipped on some ice and fell into a gas pump, so I got out to see if she was okay.

When I got there, it looked more like she had been overcome by sobs than that she had fallen; she was a young woman who looked really haggard with dark circles under her eyes. She dropped some-thing as I helped her up, and I picked it up to give it to her. It was a nickel.

At that moment, everything came into focus for me: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.

I asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept
saying "I don't want my kids to see me crying," so we stood on the
other side of the pump from her car. She said she was driving to California and that things were very hard for her right now. So I asked, "And you were praying?" That made her back away from me a little, but I assured her I was not a crazy person and said, "He heard you, and He sent me."

I took out my card and swiped it through the card reader on the pump so she could fill up her car completely, and while it was fueling, walked to the next door McDonald's and bought 2 big bags of food, some gift certificates for more, and a big cup of coffee. She gave the food to the kids in the car, who attacked it like wolves, and we stood by the pump eating fries and talking a little.

She told me her name, and that she lived in Kansas City. Her boyfriend left 2 months ago and she had not been able to make ends meet. She knew she wouldn't have money to pay rent Jan 1, and finally in desperation had finally called her parents, with whom she had not spoken in about 5 years. They lived in California and said she could come live with them and try to get on her feet there.

So she packed up everything she owned in the car. She told the kids
they were going to California for Christmas, but not that they were going to live there.

I gave her my gloves, a little hug and said a quick prayer with her
for safety on the road. As I was walking over to my car, she said, "So, are you like an angel or something?"

This definitely made me cry. I said, "Sweetie, at this time of year
angels are really busy, so sometimes God uses regular people."

It was so incredible to be a part of someone else's miracle. And of
course, you guessed it, when I got in my car it started right away and got me home with no problem. I'll put it in the shop tomorrow to check, but I suspect the mechanic won't find anything wrong.

Sometimes the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the
flutter of their wings...

Psalms 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain
thee. He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

This was my first year celebrating Halloween and we went trick or treating (maybe I'm to old for that, I donno) but anyhow here are the few pictures we took :P

This Is Good!

The story is told of a king who had a close friend with whom he
grew up. The friend had a habit of looking at every situation that ever occurred in his life (positive or negative) and remarking, "This is good!"

One day the king and his friend were on a hunting expedition. The friend would load and prepare the guns for the king. In preparing one of the guns, the friend had apparently done something wrong, for after taking the gun from his friend, the king fired it and his thumb was blown off.

Examining the situation the friend remarked as usual, "This is good!"
To which the king replied, "No, this is NOT good!" and proceeded to send his friend to jail.

About a year later, the king was hunting in a dangerous area. Cannibals captured him and took him to their village. They tied his hands, stacked some wood, set up a stake and bound him to it. As they approached to set fire to the wood, they noticed that the king was missing a thumb. Being superstitious, they never ate anyone that was less than whole. So after untying the king, they sent him on his way.

As he returned home, he was reminded of the event that had taken his thumb and felt remorse for his treatment of his friend. He went immediately to the jail to speak with his friend.

You were right," he said, "it was good that my thumb was blown off." And he proceeded to tell the friend all that had just happened. "And so I am very sorry for sending you to jail for so long. It was bad for me to do this."

"No," his friend replied, "This is good!"

"What do you mean, 'This is good'? How could it be good that I sent my friend to jail for a year?"

"If I had NOT been in jail, I would have been with you."

Situations may not always seem pleasant while we are in them, but the
promise of God is clear. If we love him and live our lives according to his precepts, even that which seems to be bleak and hopeless will be turned by God for His glory and our benefit. Hold on...God is faithful!

Why Does God Allow Pain And Suffering

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen....

A  man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation.
They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually

touched on the subject of God, the barber said: 'I don't believe that God exists.'

'Why do you say that?' asked the customer.
'Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.
Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned
children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain!

I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things..'
The  customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because
he didn't want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.

Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy,

dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.
The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber:
'You know what? Barbers do not exist.'
'How can you say that?' asked the surprised barber.
'I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!'
'No!' the customer exclaimed. 'Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be

no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside.'

'Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me.'

'Exactly!' affirmed the customer. 'That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!

That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help.

That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world.'

BE BLESSED and; BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS!!!!

I read this story in Hungarian and was really wanted to find it in English for my blog. Anyhow I forgot about it, and then my dad asked me to send him this certain email so I went looking for it, and I found this in my messages (I've had it for about 2 months but just never read it) It's good no???

Chocolate

Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands - and then eat just one of the pieces
Giving chocolate to others is an intimate form of communication, a sharing of deep, dark secrets
A chocolate in the mouth is worth two on the plate.
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE
Chocolate causes certain endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. So, eat lots of chocolate!
This guy found a bottle on the ocean, and he opened it and out popped a genie, and he gave him three wishes. The guy wished for a million dollars, and poof! there was a million dollars. Then he wished for a convertible, and poof! there was a convertible. And then, he wished he could be irresistible to all women... poof! he turned into a box of chocolates.
Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get.

-This is what I do when I'm bored and I am blank on ideas of what to update my blog :)

Firefly

Last night as I lay down to sleep I looked out my window (which is next to my bed) and saw this green flashing light, so I sat up to look at it better, it kept on flying in and out of my sight but it was so cute. It was the second time I seen a firefly and the first one flew into the fan and died, (sad ending). So anyway I was watching it and it came and flew into my screen a few times, I was going to open the window for it to come in, but then remembering the fate of the first firefly I changed my mind. Anyhow I watched it a bit more and then it flew away to God knows where. It reminded me of two songs, I will only post 1 here, and yes Owl City again. It's such a cute band...well most the songs. So ya here goes:
Enjoy ;)

Chicken Pox

Hey um...could you guys pray 4 us...my brother has chicken pox...and his blood is infected. He's better now, but yesterday he was really bad, no one in my family (except parents) have had chicken pox before therefore I dont know if we'll catch it.........In some ways I want to as it will be done and over with, but at the same time quarentine :-s and being sick are not really my things. And we're already on quarentine now, and pray that if we get it, we will all get it at the same time not one by one. Thanks. I really appreciate your prayers

Btw: I don't draw free style, I copy things, so all of the pictures except the very last one are copied either from real things or other pictures.
These are random art I drew for my art classes in 9th grade so it's old:
